Utilize our network to collect and archive your samples safely

GGBN's infrastructure enables better access to genetic samples. Tens of thousands of samples are stored in research labs, often forgotten and lost for future research. In order to achieve traceable and transparent molecular research some GGBN members offer long-term deposition of samples. Ideally you should contact the institution before starting the project to discuss terms and conditions.

Basic Requirements

  • Terms must be agreed to with the participating GGBN member institution
  • All permits and other associated legal information associated with the samples must be provided to the GGBN member institution
  • All associated metadata must be provided to the GGBN member institution
  • It is recommended that you contact a GGBN member institution within your country or the country where the sample was collected. Please also consider whether or not the GGBN member institution stores collections within your research scope before contacting them directly.
