Title: ''Botany as a model for global integration of taxonomic resources''. Abstract: ''The EU-funded TETTRIs project emphasizes the integration of local, regional and global taxonomic resources (https://wiki.bgbm.org/tettris/Workpackage_2). In the course of the project, it became evident that the botanical and mycological communities have made significant progress in organizing and integrating sustainable taxonomic data. In zoology, the picture is far more patchy, with some (particularly iconic vertebrate) groups pioneering biodiversity informatics, while other groups lag far behind. This session focuses on the integration of botanical taxonomic data and its organizational background. We invite contributions illustrating the integration of local or regional data collections such as Flora projects and regional checklists with international aggregators, emphasizing research community integration, technical and editorial workflows, and solution sustainability. To be fair: botany benefits from a smaller number of species compared to zoology. But the strong networks of specialized botanical research institutions, often with historical roots in colonialism, also play a key role in its success. We are thus also inviting contributions looking at the historical influences shaping botanical data flows, critically examining both their benefits and limitations. By highlighting botany as a model for taxonomic data integration, this session may suggest best practices and areas for improvement, thus helping to generate strategies for other taxonomic groups.

'''February 12, 2025''' - Submission of a symposium session proposal for the [https://www.livingdata2025.com/ Living Data 2025] conference in Bogotá, Colombia.

<ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">'''February 27, 2025''' - (TNLS) Detailed explanation of TNLS name matching system solution [https://stories.rbge.org.uk/archives/39999 Botanics Stories Blog].</ins>

By highlighting botany as a model for taxonomic data integration, this session may suggest best practices and areas for improvement, thus helping to generate strategies for other taxonomic groups.''

'''February 12, 2025''' Submission of a symposium session proposal for the [https://www.livingdata2025.com/ Living Data 2025] conference in Bogotá, Colombia. By highlighting botany as a model for taxonomic data integration, this session may suggest best practices and areas for improvement, thus helping to generate strategies for other taxonomic groups.''</ins>
